Sarasota Makes South's Best Cities List

Southern Living Magazine has released its South's Best Cities 2018 list which will be featured in the April issue. Sarasota made the list at No. 9 and was the only Florida city named on the list. It also made the list of the South's Prettiest Cities.

Southern Living said it arrived at its second annual South's Best lists based on extensive surveys and the work of the New York City-based marketing firm GBH Insights.

Southern Living Magazine is a 52-year-old publication with a circulation of almost 17 million. Here's the complete Top 10 South's Best Cities for 2018:

3. Asheville, North Carolina

4. Nashville, Tennessee

5. Greenville, South Carolina
